Since 1998, Richard Ellison has been creating websites, for corporate and individual clients. He’s backed up by Simon, who’s managed bars, hotels and restaurants since 1985, to provide promotional and marketing expertise. In 2009, Aaron joined the team, bringing his writing and creative skills on-board.

Richard

Richard’s experience includes:

  • Languages: html, php, asp, javascript, ajax, css, mysql and flash.
  • Content Management Systems: Joomla, Wordpress, OpenX, and many custom designs.
  • Operating Systems: Linux (Suse, Ubuntu, Red Hat and Debian), XP, Vista, Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 2003 Server.

Richard’s past work includes marketing and PR, where he was responsible for radio promotions for new movies, new products and technical advancements – he covered the invention of broadband in 1997 and was within the first 500 users of the service in the UK. In 1998 he moved to The Carphone Warehouse, working as a mobile data expert in the days before bluetooth and 3G. In 2000 Richard moved into broadcast continuity and engineering for BBC Radio.

Simon

Simon’s formal training stems from St James’s College, Henley-on-Thames, and the Guinness Brewery, St James’s Gate, Dublin. Both venues gave Simon the basis for his skills which he has developed to master presentation, style and design. Layout skills were added with professional desk-top publishing software during the 1990s in Dublin. Simon is able to create simple but highly effective layout and navigation systems whcih can be applied to Internet pages, restaurant and bar menus or corporate identity.

His understanding of the creation of menus, which draw the reader into the experience, are used successfully on and offline.

Simon is a keen photographer with the ability to capture the look and feel you require to make your online or offline presence effective.

Simon’s skills include:

  • Layout, user experience, styling and useability.
  • Photography and brand image.
  • Company assessment and consultation.

Aaron

Aaron graduated from Royal Holloway in 2006 with a First in Drama and Theatre. Since then he has built a career in theatre management in such venues as the Unicorn Theatre in Southwark, whilst pursuing a subsidiary career as a playwright. His first fringe production was performed at the Tricycle Theatre in 2007, and he is currently working on his next theatre project, scheduled for performance in early 2010.

As a writer, Aaron has a firm understanding of language and grammatical structure, and a solid background of academic and project-based research. These skills will be utilised to tailor your online content into cohesive, easily accessible copy with an individual flair befitting your site. He is currently developing his skills in ‘search engine optimisation’ to further advance his knowledge of online marketing.
